The wait is finally over as the Florida Panthers will host the Edmonton Oilers in Game 1 of the 2024 Stanley Cup Final at Amerant Bank Arena. After falling to the Vegas Golden Knights in five games last year, the Panthers will try to capture Lord Stanley’s chalice for the first-time in their third try. To reach this point the Cats eliminated the Tampa Bay Lighting in five games, Boston Bruins in six games, and Presidents’ Trophy-winning New York Rangers in six games. Matthew Tkachuk leads the club in scoring with 19 points. Carter Verhaeghe is leading goalscorer with nine. Sergei Bobrovsky is 12-5 with a 2.20 GAA, .908 save percentage and one shutout.

Edmonton will be looking to win its sixth Stanley Cup and first since 1990. The last time the Oilers made it this far was 2006, when they lost to the Carolina Hurricanes in seven games. To set up this meeting with the Panthers, Edmonton eliminated the Los Angeles Kings in five games, the Vancouver Canucks in seven games, and the Dallas Stars in six games. Connor McDavid leads the NHL in postseason scoring with 31 points. Zach Hyman is the playoff leader in goals with 14. Stuart Skinner is 11-5 with a 2.50 GAA, .897 save percentage and one shutout.
